I just took my early Van Aalken box off, they say 40hp & 110lbs. Edge says with the comp box untapped it is the same as the EZ, 65hp & 185lbs at the wheels. So I'm not saying it any slower but more like no difference. Does this sound right?

I got the cover from blue chip so I can take the box out if I need to go to the dealer, yeah, it'll be a pain in the heine, but I love the comp box, wouldn't have it any other way but tapped. You can sit there at idle and run up through the led's and just feel and hear the difference, the motor goes from normal on one to almost a chugging sound on 5, and the power will be there too. TAP THE PUMP WIRE!

The Blue Chip pump wiring cover puts just a pin prick in the wire so when you remove it and put the stock cover back on the mechanic will have a hard time detecting a fueling box was ever on it. To me it's worth the $50 (a little over priced maybe), I have 42k left on my warranty. BUT ALL THE FUN! YYYEEESSSS!

Good luck. Kevin

bug bites again

I also will be in this same boat a week from now, just upgraded my ez to the comp and was wondering how everyone taps the pump wire. I know some use the connector in the kit, some solder the wire and a few with the stealth covers. Not sure when I will tap the wire, but no doubt it will happen... unleashed power is nothing I can avoid!!! TIA gary :-laf :-laf

I'm tapped! Put my secondary pusher in, 22lbs idle and 15 floored. Tapped the wire, wow! Me soo happy! Is it bad to bump the levels up as your in it? The way it drops off then picks up when you change the level dosen't feel the greatest.

I push in the clutch when I shift levels. I don't like the whole idea of changing timing while driving down the road.

I don't change levels under hard acceleration or deceleration. Either idling at a stop or cruising speed. Not sure of potential probs, but I don't want to test the limits!
