HELP! 2003 Is Leaking Coolant!

Problem Solved! I started the truck this morning and it purred like a kitten, idled as smooth as silk and I could not be happier. The FCA was the culprit. It is amazing the effect a faulty FCA will have on the engine. I had the CP3 replaced under warranty early in 2008 due to a leaking seal. I wander when DC replaces a CP3, if the CP3 has a new FCA in it or if they reuse the FCA from the old pump. Anyway, problem solved and thanks to everyone who helped me with this issue, this site rocks!;)

Where did you order it from? What did it run you $$?

Thanks

I ordered it from Home Page. Here is the link to the page the FCA is on Common Rail The cost was $98. 25. I have read several posts where people ordered one from their local cummins store. Since I don't have one nearby, I ordered it online. I understand that $90-$100 is the normal price range, unless you get one from your local Dodge Dealer then it will be quit a bit more.

Just got back from Up north or I would have posted sooner. I picked up a FCA

from the Cummins shop in Saginaw. I installed it Thursday evening. I had the same results as you. It ran like a new truck again. No stalling or surging. No more bellows of black smoke. Now, if I can just get the fuel heater issue taken care of, I'll be all set. My mechanic told me my grid heaters were fine, said my fuel heater was bad. He put on an aftermarket heater with no results. Then he put on a fuel heater from the Chrysler dealership. That lasted a week before it started to be needing to be plugged in every night.

Who knows maybe it's another bad fuel heater or maybe I have a electrical issue related to it?
