Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) up grades

I am about to install vp #3, dead pedal, no codes, allready changed lift pump & tps sensor and am considering rv275 injectors, fuel pressure gauge goes in today, do I need boost egt gauges also? Will the stock turbo cool the egt enough? Do I need to make any other changes (recomend) to make this go smoothly, Is this the way I should go? tia.

I am no Expert, but am a gauge freak. I like seeing whats going on so I have a trans temp, Pyro, Boost and Fuel pressure. If you had to pick a minimal amount of monitoring I would say Pyro and Fuel Pressure. Good Luck!!!!!!!

At a minimum you need the EGT and the fuel pressure gauges. I also installed Geno's Low Fuel Pressure warning light. It comes on when FP is below 6 psi. A wonderful help when you suddenly wonder how long that fuel filter has been stopped up. Ask me how I know

I would upgrade the fuel system with a Holley blue pusher pump minimum before adding power. My brother has a set of RV275's, Smarty on his truck & it runs great with absolutely no worries of egt's. Power is smooth & mpg's is unreal over stock. He gained 4mpg.

I was also thinking about a pusher pump, but was not sure if it was needed.

the mpgs are worth it for me to upgrade. Have their been any issues with the installation is it a kit? what dealer sells this? thanks.
