Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Upcoming dyno day.Will smarty help #'s or not?

I have my comp at edge getting the drag upgrade as I type. With my setup would I get better #'s with or without the smarty? The reason I ask is the runs are $40 for the day not sure if he will give a discount for multiple runs. If he will do a discount on them for multiple runs I will do it. I really want to make 4 runs.



1-comp off and no smarty



2-comp 5X5 only



3-comp off smarty #9



4-comp 5X5 smarty #8



Only if he will give me a break will I do all 4 runs, and post the info. But unless someone has dynoed a similar setup and can give pointers on what to expect or try instead.



Does anyone think I can hit 550hp 1100 lbtq?



I have been watching what people are getting with the sps62-14 with similar setups looks like 525 1050 is a good range for them. I have the Silver 62 which should top the sps62 a bit.

I have read that running comp and smarty together actually hurts #'s. I read that people get better #'s on level 4 of comp with the smarty. Has anyone else run them seperate and as a stack in same dyno session?

I have a Banks big hoss fueling box. It only taps the pump wire. The combo works great on my truck.

You will be close to 550... . I would think, probably right around 515-525 is my guess.

I will keep checking this post for answers, but I will be dynoing mine in two weeks. I don't have the drag upgrade on the comp, but am throwing a smarty on to see what it does to the numbers. I will have the ability to make multiple runs so I will post some numbers when i get back.

FWIW since I have zero pratical experience, but what I read seems to indicate most people do better at SW3.

I've heard that sw4 & comp on 5x4 gives the most. Another guy said sw8 & drag comp on 5x5 gives the most..... who knows.

We're going to floor-it diesel to have some transmission adjustments made and I have demoed the smarty before. I told John to have one waiting for me :-laf

This will be good for people to see. Our dyno day isn't until march 24 so we will have to remember to pull this thread out of the closet by then.
