Update Auto Transmission Failure

As I posted earlier this week a friend of mine lost his trans a 1000 miles after a "total rebuild" which he paid for, when the tech?? got back to him he told him that some other parts failed and he needed 3000 bucks for a new trans, they are really jerking this guy around, I guess its time for a damm Lawyer and a bunch of BS. This is the world famous LITHIA Dodge. I told him if he has to go this route to call Bill K and get one of his Transmissions. Thanks Jack

Lithia Pisses me off to no end. I dont know why they have to be such asses all the time. I have never bought a truck from them nor will I ever! Another top 5 star dealer! (In there dreams)

the trans failed and they are saying its some other part and he has to pay again ??? i'd have that thing on a hook so fast and out of there their head would be spinning ... do they really think they can get away with something like that ? sounds like a half assed rebuild the first time .

You would think they would warranty their work for more than 1000 miles. When I paid to have mine rebuilt(out of warranty), the shop gave me a 12,000 mile warranty. Unfortunately, I blew a transmission colling hose about 5000 miles after I had the work done. I couldn't try to pin that on the transmission shop since is wasn't their fault. The owner did however, rebuild my transmission completely(everything but the case) for parts only, no labor charges.



Check to see if they do have any type of warranty and hold them to it.
