Well, just finished my MBA and a little over a year with my early graduation present, a 2001. 5 2500 4x2/swb sport. With just over 25K on the clock, here's the 411.
Intial impressions: Thin paint, boardering on marginal. Oil Stink. THAT U TDR FOR STRAP OIL FILTER WRENCH AND BAGGIE TIPS!
Heaviest Pul: Approx 6Kl lbs, only felt it when trying to stop it.
Duty: Daily Commuter in HEAVY traffic.
Service Intervals, every 3,750 miles.
Break-in: 15,000 miles on Cummins Premium Blue
Post Break-in: 76 Royal Triton QLT (lot easier on the Sheer-Stinkage)
Fleetguard Filters, paper air, strato lube & fuel
Series 2000 75w140 outback w/ 1/2 bottle of LSD add. , may check it/change it every 100K miles?
Mileage: 17city-20hwy (driving 80mph), best mileage 23. 6mpg w/ cruise set @ 73mph.
Warranty Work:
1 Liftpump @ 18K miles
1 oilpan gasket @ 25K (you DO NOT want to pay for this one yourself!)
1 tailshaft seal @ 25K
Minor tweak of F/E alignment to dial out some positive camber, not a problem since!
Put all kinds of stuff on it (see sig), but on the list of musts:
Cup Smoothie from Geno's
Getmann Cold front from Mary Anne, though I don't get to use it much!
Strap style oil filter wrench (mine from Pep Boys)
Irrgang HD Crank Case Drainplug from Geno's
17MM METRIC HEX Wrench for DEE fill Plug (Thx again Vaughn!)
SPA DG111, great product, support and service, they'll be the gauge of choice in my next rig too!
Pro's - power, reliability, economy, a gear for every occassion!
Con's - Not a crew cab, clutch action and feel could be better, Paint, I'm gonna have to repaint this thing LONG before it wears out.
Conclussion - The latter of 10 years or 250,000 miles, then I'll see about a cummins powered crew cab.
Hope Your Rigs are proving to be as trusty a companion as mine.

Ps. Told U I'd be back Saint. =)
