got a bad news update--the machine needed to do the fittings is broke down and they've been trying to get it fixed and at the moment they're at least 2 weeks behind on they're schedule---bummer--as we thought we'd have them this week--so we're still in a holding pattern and hopefully everyone can wait this out---good news is they know we want them ASAP----sorry for the inconvenience---chris

No problem waiting. This might be a good time for a question. Once the fittings are in, what else is needed to complete the project? Do you have a parts list, or will you be offering the "complete kit" along with the fittings? Personally, I'd prefer buying the kit from you.

Thanks for all the R&D efforts!!

Just buy the Earls -6 12mm X 1. 5 fitting and run a 90 degree -6 Female/Female fitting to a -6/-8 male/male adapter. That's how I did it. Summit has it all.

OR if you guys don't mind Aluminum fittings and paying $14. 38 apiece, you can get the -8 to 12x1. 5mm Goodridge 5074 adapters from

Sorry for the brain fart, but are we talking about fuel line fittings here?

Cummins Power, don't leave home without it

John Berger--yes

DieselB59--yes you can do it that way for a lot more money and you add length to every connection you do that way

Vaughn-you are right, but again more money-and these will be steel which if guys start putting regulators on their trucks this is much better/stronger than the aluminum to help carry the weight of the regulator(eventhough the regulators don't weigh that much you've got lines to think about too)

Work2much--Brandon & I have to get together once we get the fittings and then I believe that kits or a parts list will be available

chris

Well, the money really isn't that much more. It cost about six bucks for the adapter. And that's really the only extra piece in the mix. I needed the extra length coming off the fuel filter head just to clear the backside of the fuel filter head anyway. And when you're in a pinch to get it done, it comes down to who has what in stock that isn't nationally on backorder. I did, however, use both types of Earl's stainless steel braided hose and found that the one that costs nine dollars more does not unravel the braid after you cut it. When the time came for me to do my truck, I went with the expensive one and was able to put the fittings together much faster and with less cuts on already shredded fingers.
