Well, finally got back in town from the sales trip I started 4 weeks ago. The truck was finished up today and I picked it up late this afternoon. Looks good! Now I need to do a little detail work inside and see about polishing the wheels. Want to see how it does in a show and shine.

Can I post a picture on the new server yet? If not, is there any way to get pictures on the site? I want to take a few tomorrow and would like to post so you guys can see the truck (if interested)

Now if I can just keep the birds from dumping on it and also keep the cats off I'll be happy!;)

Pacool, the picture posting ability is back. I think it still has to be under 32k though unless you post to the readers rig section and then link that. Let's see that new paint job Oo.

Well, took some pics but can't figure out how to post them. I'll keep trying. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I can't even figure out how to reduce the file size of the pics!

Stan

Stan, create a photo album in the Readers Rigs area. Upload them there as it has the least restirictions about size, etc. Then post a link to your photo album.

Ken

Thanks KMC

When I get back home from this business trip I'll see if I can figure out how to do that. I't had better be simple or I'll have trouble doing it!

Stan

HELP!! OK, I went to the readers rig section. I see how to sort and all that but I sure don't see how to create a new file! What do I do to set up a file for myself and put pictures in it? I told you it had to be simple or I was in trouble!

Stan

Ok Stan, go to the readers rigs area like you did before. Over on the far right you will see Manage Your Gallery. Click on this and then log in using your normal TDR username and password.

Once you are in you will see at the top Create an Album. Once you create the album you can then upload pictures. If you get stuck at that point let me know.

Ken

Thanks Ken

I have 6 pictures posted on a "paccool" file. I can get there by clicking on readers rigs but I don't know how to make a link to there from here.

Ken, can you take a look for me and make sure the file is set up right? I need all the help I can get doing this.

When you look at the pictures, ignore the water spots that were on the camera lens. I'll have to retake them and clean up the file.

Stan

Trying a link- Well, that didn't work!

Try again- http://128.242.249.86/user_gallery/displayalbum.php?&userid=2633&albumid=240

GOT IT!Oo.

Bingo, you got it. Good Job! You can also link individual photos the same way. There is also a way to embed the photo in the post but I can't remember how to do it. I went to try and figure it out but I can't find the overall search button. The user cp button seems to be gone to. Does anyone else notice this or is it just late and I am going blind?

Ken

BTW, the truck looks very nice! Cool color!

Stan,

Very Nice! Sure wish my garage was about 6 inches longer and I would have purchased a CC.

Seats

Well, looks like I found my color scheme. Can you give me the color codes and paint types?

BTW, where did you get those seats? How much? Did they have the brackets with them or did you make them?

TIA,

Mike O.

Sweet!!!!

Hey Stan Looks very nice:D Luv that color too!

Stan I will post some pics of my truck when I get it done also.

They did a very good job, Sweet!Oo.

Thanks all for the positive comments. It seemed like an awful lot of money for a paint job but now that it's done, I feel it was worth it. The shop is still going to do some more wet sanding around the doors and hood but wanted to let the paint set for about a month before doing. Now I need to get the rest of the little things done. The wiper arms are pitted and some paint is off so I'll replace those. Need to get the wheels polished and the black plastic on the bumpers cleaned and treated.

MikeO, Primary color(I assume the green) code is PGF. Secondary color (the silver) code is QAC.

Seats are made by Qualitex, model is VIP trucker. Got them from a local pickup supply store about a year ago, were about $800. That included the base frame and mounting hardware. I had a slight problem with the material in the left seat, they made a new set of covers and sent, no questions asked. FYI, I just saw this same seat in JCW for $900.

At the present time, I have the center console removed and made a bed for the dog when we are traveling. She doesn't know she is a dog and wants to sit up front with us. Got some grey material as close to the seat color as I could find and padded and covered a piece of plywood. Put threaded inserts in to match the bolting pattern on the frame and it is bolted on with 4 bolts. Simple to replace the console.

Amy, Ill be watching for those pictures of your truck.

YeeHaa, looks great, Stan, thanks for posting the pictures! I've been putting off getting mine painted (a few other projects keep getting in the way... oh and that $$ stuff that keeps disappearing. ) But you have me motivated to get in gear and get mine painted too! Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics in a month or so...

Damn!

Stan,

If your truck had the standard wheels, I would think it was new. Well, there is the exhaust tip, back up lights..... Ok, at the most a few months old. It just looks great, you should be proud.

Nice rig Stan! I bet you feel better about keeping the old girl now :D I like the front seating, that may have to come next after I pay off my transmission... . mission DOH :( I really like the silver strip on the bottom, the whole truck looks sharp!
