Just get her weighted. Full (to the top) with fuel, empty bed, empty cab(Me not in truck), my truck weights:

7660 Lbs.

Post your updated weight!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: I have a 2005 Quad Cab CTD Dually.

My 2nd genner with fuel,me,canopy, tools, and the rest of my crap comes in at about 8200lbs,brolaw 03 dually is about 8000 too but less crap/stuff.

My 03 with a 16th tank of fuel was 9600 lbs on the scales at the local oil refinery. I was working on some equipment and decided to wiegh it on the way out! That was a steel flatbed and 265 70R19. 5 tires. Heavy little beggar!

New 06? Lighter, by at least 50lbs! :-laf

05RAM3500,

I weighed mine when I got it home new in Dec. Ran it across a CAT scales with a full tank:

steer axle: 4660

drive axle: 3100

gross weight: 7760

I was on board when it was weighed and I weigh 225lb.

Hope that was helpfull, it weighed more than I was expecting! :--)

4X4 Quad cab short bed, 5er hitch, normal odds and ends... tow strap, Mag-lite, ect. full tank, and me (175lbs. )

Steer - 4380

Drive - 3060

Gross - 7440

Truck with the newly installed Caravan camper, a bedrug, 70 gal transferflow steel in bed tank full of fuel, my truck tank was topped up with fuel and about 30#s of misc. stuff in the cab.

Without Driver - Front Axle 4660 Rear Axle 3800 Gross 8460

My '06 Mega was 8120, full of fuel, no driver and 420lbs of sand bags in the bed. I guess that makes it 7700 even with just a full tank of fuel. Four tons of fun :)

I weighed my truck and trailer last week. My truck weighs #7,900 lbs and my 41 foot gooseneck weighs #8550 lbs empty. My truck was empty except for me 220 and a full tank. :D :D

To register my '03 4X4 SB Quad Cab 6 speed in California I had to get a certified weight. This forum recommended that i try to keep it below 7000#s because of the registration fees. Low on fuel, no tools, no spare tire, no jack, nothing in glove box or consol, it weighed 6940# (that is also without me in the truck).

My 02 came in at the CAT scale at 7300 lbs. Full of Fuel w/ camper shell on.

Adding 2 people (150 lbs ea) brought the truck up to 7600lbs. GVRW of 8800 lbs. brought the payload down to 1200 lbs... not the 2200 lbs advertised... .

There went to idea of a 5th wheel with a dry pin weight of 1600 lbs... :--)

no wt fees

Thats exactly what I did (I am in Calif) Only to find out later at DMV that being I was installing a camper shell I did not have to weight it fees are less with a shell apparently no wt fees

TIPS for having truck weighed for CA registration

Empty fuel tank

REmove batteries

remove spare tire

REmove back seat on QC

Mebbe remove front passenger seat too!

THats what i'm gonna do, any other ideas out there?

Gifford:

You can put helium in the tires to lighten. :D

My 02 weighs 9,600 lbs, both tanks full of fuel (60 gal toolbox/fuel tank combo) and two other tool boxes as well. Has Brown's welding steel running boards, tube steel rear bumper, headache rack and brush/grill guard.

I need to weigh my 03 and 93.

When I lived in California until Aug 2005, where I bought my truck new, the weight fees $$$ amount was based on the information from the manufacturer. I think it showed my Unladen Weight at around 6300 lbs or so.

Now in Nevada, where I was told it was so much cheaper to register my vehicle and trailer, you pay a $$$ amount based on the value of the vehicles and trailer. Dang Arctic Fox trailer was more than my truck and BOTH were more than tghe registration in California.

I guess you just can't win...
