Updated powersteering HOSE

Jusft Had the new updated powersteering hose installed for buzz/hum at 2000 rpm. WAS a noticable improvement just threw the parking lot. Truck is MUCH smoother!

I had mine done a few weeks ago and I noticed a big improvement as well. That thing would make a heck of a weapon.

How bad was your vibration? did it drive you out of the cab or did you just feel it in the steering wheel? I haven't really noticed alot of vibration but was wondering if I should have it changed out anyway.

I didn't think the vibration was bad until I changed the hose. I had sort of a tingling vibration in the steering wheel and now has stopped. This is the new hose: #ad

Mine DROVE US out of the truck on long drives. I fact IT was a big issue when I bought mine in the first two weeks. In fact I was told the FEELING with the DRONE was normal at 2100 rppm. It can be felt in NEUTRAL ALSO. Any how I met with a REP whom I knew and HE was less then HELPFUL. Long story short a HOSE should up at the DEALER two weeks later from STAR with NO name just a VIN number that was to MY truck. dealer called and said we have NO CLUE but come in and well put it on. I did go in the NEXT day and While I was there THEY got a phone call from REP saying DON"T use the HOSE it was a mistake. Well we didn't. this is MONTHS AGO. I went by them yesterday morning to get them to order ONE because of the TSB and guess what! SAME hose was STILL there from 8 or 9 months ago that STAR SENT FOR MINE TO START WITH>Well its OFF the parts shelf NOW and made a HUGE differance in smoothness.

My service rep still insists my truck does not need this hose. How can I convince him?

Why is he convinced???its a warranty part HE gets PAID for. If YOURS does NOT have a BIG DAMPNER MADE TO IT and it hums at 2100 rpm THE tsb says REPLACE THIS HOSE. The TSB is for 03 and 04 trucks
