Kinda like Chrysler wanting $45 for a fuel filter for my truck and Cummins asking around $7. Geeze they fleecing the customers.

I went back to the dealer (wed. ) to get the final decision from SM &DM . They said if I give them my Banks box & promise not to put another one on , They would order a new CP3 and reinstate my warranty! :--)

I would tell them to either honor the warranty or not but the heck if you're gonna get my bombs!!! :-{} #@$%!

You ain't big enough to take em outta my cold dead hands!!

Then call the news media.

From Banks website it looks to me like they have turn tail and run from the warranty coverage issue. The earlier link stating to check your owners manual is the only thing I found there as well. They used to have the Mag-Moss act posted on their site, I don't see it anymore. Nor do I see previous claims about how their products will not void warranties. They claim emissions legality but not anything to do with warranties anymore. I guess they got tired of trying to keep up that scharade. Probably too many PO'ed customers with warranty problems. They couldn't afford to back their claim anymore. Sounds like they still might preach it over the phone though... liars :(

Massey=Ferguson?

Now why would you scream at the tractor guys?

Are you talking about the Moss-Magnesson (SIC?) warranty act?

How about $247. 00 for filter and labor to change it! :--)

I had a friend who bought a new 1967 Chevelle SS396... . he put in a 4. 10 rear end and a Holley 3 Barrel carburetor on a high rise intake, plus a set of headers. When he sent a piston throught the side of the block, Chevy would not honor his warranty... ...

I was at Autozone last week a a young guy tried to get a couple of plug wires replaced under warranty... they had plier teeth marks on them and the ends were frayed and looked like they exploded. The guy behind the counter said he could not warranty them because they had been abused... they customer yelled and screamed, but ultimately bought two new plug wires.

I put a K&N filter system on an older F150 and it rubbed through the wiring causing a false anit-lock brake lite to come on... . cost me $300 even though it was under warranty... . it was not Ford's fault that the K&N bracket broke.

Where is this going (in spite of Massey-Ferguson)????

I think it is unfair to the manufacutrer to buy a product, highly modify it, and then want repairs under a warranty when something goes wrong...

The vehicle is designed by the factory engineers to a specific set of criteria... . if the vehicle does not meet this criteria, then it is the manufacturer's problem and cause for warranty work.

I had a 2000 Ram 1500 with a 360 V8... it had and MSD ignition, headers, oversize tires and wheels, a cat back exhaust, etc. , etc. , etc. When the transmission wnet out, I expected to pay $2300... . I did luck out and Dodge replaced it under warranty... I would not have complained if I had to pay for it (I know how I drove it).

I have a couple of mods on my Ram, and if I am denied repairs under warranty, I won't be surprised or upset... I made a conscious effort to change the condition of the truck... not Dodge's fault.

I do agree that if I change the torque converter that I bought the warranty on the transmission, the the warranty on the air conditioner should remain intact... . here is where I would scream Massey=Ferguson... ...

I agree with you, to a certain extent. Honestly, whether a dealer (and the descision is usually made on site) decides to honor your warranty is based more upon their relationship with you than anything else. The Banks unit is known to hype rail pressure, and the CP3 went out. Seems related to me. If they were trying to void the warranty because of an AFE, a MBRP or something not related to fuel delivery, then it is crap.

The leak that Howard Has is on the Volume Side of the Pump Totally unrelated to the Tuner,it is like saying when a Bank is rob it Must be the Account owner fault since he Had Money in the Account when it was rob.
