Upgrade heated seats

I’m considering upgrading my slt cloth seats to heated I am wondering if the stock wiring harness has the wires already ran to stock location of switch area and on to the seat location. Has any body else done this already and would be willing to give me some pointers ?......thank you

You would have to buy the OEM Seat Cushions in new to make that work.
But you are fine with the Rostra Kit from Genos like I did, Power is already under the seat, but take care it is +30 and not +15 so you always need to switch the heater of with engine off or your batteries die.

Ozy, you had factory heated seats right??? If the poster has an SLT with cloth seats he will have to grab power elsewhere.

I already had installed a Painless Wiring Kit when I installed the Rostra Kits and I would suggest that he do the same. That way the seats will shut off when the key is off.

Plus the only connection to the trucks wiring is taking the keyed signal from the cigarette lighter feed. The rest is free standing and isolated.

With all that being said the Rostra Heated Seat Kits are worth the effort. Do it!!!
