Well my CIPA extended mirrors are complete, finally got the heat going to them.

I visited 6 wrecking/junk yards looking for parts... no luck so off to the stealer... .

Install is easy... you do not have to remove the whole door panel just pop the upper corner loose enough to work... all you need is a 10mm wrench, philips and one of those door panel poping tools. Everything is self-explanatory.

Getting the power switch was easy just tell them what year truck it is and don't forget the knob and nut... it is not a package deal 3 parts required. Cost me $49 for all three

For the Heater portion, stealer said $132 I laughed and said no thanks... well after a little more research the heated mirror option on our trucks has a timer and logic circuit in it to prevent melting your mirrors. Hit the button and it runs for 15min then turns off hit it again it runs for only 5min. Considering the cost of the mirrors I considered the DC part as insurance, why go cheap with a SPST switch and forget to turn them off. Well you can not get just the switch, you have to get the whole HVAC control panel.

For a 2001 Part# 5015736AA, I paid $132

I was quoted up to and over $200 at other stealers so shop around. Installation, pop the plastic off the dash, 4 screws, disconnect plugs and reverse the process.

So if your considering the upgrade figure $350-$400 for the mirrors add another $180-$200 for switches/controls brings your upgrade to $600... but the Mirrors are FANTASTIC
