I recently traded in my '05 for an '06 Mega Cab, but before doing so I removed my SPS62 that I've had for less then a month. The turbo is great, but I wanted a little more as well as quicker spool.

So now I have to decided if I should just put the SPS62 in the '06 or if I should go with a twins setup. Would a good set of twins give me quicker spool? Also, if I were to go twins should I just buy a completely new setup and sale my SPS62 or try and integrate it into a twins setup?

Thanks!

Twins rock! After running twins, I would never go back to a single. If spool-up is the driving factor in your decision, the smaller the top turbo, the faster they will spool. The big turbo plays a part in spool, but not as much as the top for initial spool-up. Just have to look at the smaller kits and see which you like the best. Piers 35/3B twins and BD-Power twins come to mind for lightening fast spool.

I have a used BD power twin turbo upgrade kit with brand new hot and cold pipes that could easily fit that SPS62. I just haven't listed it in the classifieds yet, but plan to do so this week. Price will be very cheap…twins on a budget? ;) With the SPS62 on top though, spool is not going to be "lightening fast".
