Just spend the afternoon and evening taking off my stock exhaust and installing my new 4" turbo back exhaust system. I ended up chosing a MBRP 304 stainless. I really like a lot. It took a lot longer than I thought it would to install... but I can't complain too much as I did it all on my own. There was several times I wished I had 3 hands !! Drove to town to find some buildings so I could hear the exhaust note bounce off the buildings, :-laf

Thanks to everyone on their imput on picking an exhaust system. I have waited almost 4 years to put this exhaust upgrade in. Glad I did some research and very pleased with my choice.

Thanks,

Thad

Good work Thad. Now be careful, you might wear out the switch for the passenger window rolling it down every time you pass a cement barricade, bridge abruptment, tunnel or building . . . I've been trying to break that habit for 6 years now :-laf

You'll never be able to break that. I've been diont that for about 3 years now. I don't have to worry about the switch for the passanger wondow as I have crank windows! It makes it a bunch harder to roll the window down while driving but it is do-able!

Thad, congrats on your purchase. I took off my mbrp and went to stacks, but was very pleased with the dual system while it was on. The tone of these trucks with that system = :D :D . I too have the WDD (windows down disease) just can't get enough. Glad to hear others have the same problem. When I put the stacks on, I kept the mbrp muffler in the mix for the sound and couldn't be more pleased :) Enjoy that wonderful music :) :)

I too roll down my windows to listen to a diesel or muscle car exhaust. Of coarse ain't no sense in rolling down your window for a Duramax!! I knew I wasn't alone with listening to exhaust notes.

The only exhaust tone I hate are those imports with the big mufflers. My weedeater exhaust sounds better than an import!!

I thought about having my wife drive the truck an myself follow along in her car so I could hear it real good... . but she would never let that one down so I settled for a nice brink building instead, hehe.

I did have my wife drive the truck by at 45 mph as I stood in front of my house. She was just shaking her head as she went by. One of lifes simple pleasures. :-laf
