While replacing another bad lift pump, I upgraded my fuel lines. I had some custom fittings machined. Metric to match the truck on one side with an O ring seal and standard fitting for 6MJ on the other side. I was able to use 3/8" hose with some gentle 90 degree swivel fittings. Next I'm going to relocate the lift pump down to the frame rail, ran outta time trying to get the truck running for South Bend install it's currently getting.
The local machinist said he would be more than willing to make these fittings in mass production if anyone is interested. The 6MJ swivels should be available almost anywhere. Or the diesel shop near me could supply them. They also had a compression fitting that slipped right over my steel fuel line on the frame rail. Very easy to install.
Let me know if you guys would be interested in the fittings and stuff. Once I get an idea of how many, the machinist can give me the price. He said he'd like to do them in batches of 50 or so, which is only 10 trucks since it takes 5 fittings to upgrade everything.
