OE trans that seems to be in great condition @ 135k. Would I regret the EZ???

Shouldn't regret the EZ as long as you take it "EZ". Mostly when you roll into it do so after you are rolling along, roughly after 20mph or so. Hammering it from a sitting still with more than stock power is more than likely when the trans will struggle, you might not notice this "struggle" at first, but in time it'll start to show itself.

I just got my 01 with 176k miles. PO upgraded a solenoid and some other easy to reach part when he changed the fluid. I added a deep pan that holds 4 extra quarts of fluid as a preventative measure. Trans shifts great.
When I was shopping for this truck I talked to a guy in San Diego with over 350k on his original 47RE, and he towed with it. Seems they can be durable, but don’t tolerate much abuse.
