Can you upgrade the 2002 ETH with Stag III injectors and a Comp box and still get about 280 more hp? What are some of the opinions about the DEE transmission? I kno some people are switching from the auto to the 6 spd. The internal part of the transmission seems to be better designed for lubrication and strength. I am interested in the HO but was wondering if I would get the power I want out of the engine. Any help would be great.

this is a tuff one. i like to be the underdog so i like the eth. :) with dd2's,comp,hx40 and 4" my truck made 426rwhp. with bd5's in place of the 2's i made 515rwhp. the stock clutch is very weak. and a good clutch "southbend" will cost around $850 without labor. i like the 5600 it has a bigger input than the 4500 does and one extra gear. if you want to drag race get the 5 speed or the auto.

ETC and ETH only apply to the 24v motors.

If you get a 2nd Gen 12v don't worry bout it. ETC is the "regular" 235hp engine and the ETH is the High Output 245hp version.

THey are basically the order codes used by dealers, DEE stands for 6 speed transmission
