The last time my wife drove my truck it was bone stock and she made a comment about how slow it was. Not long after that she mentioned we sure had alot of UPS deliveries lately. (see signature below). Today she says to me " I'm need to take my mother home, can I drive the Diesel? I thought about the #10 plate, PDR-HX40, my wife's previous comment and the lack of excitement in my mother-inlaws life and I replied "sure, I've made afew adjustments since you drove it last, tell me if it runs any better. When she pulled out of the driveway I could hear the turbo screaming and the 4" exhaust roaring all the way up the road. (wife has a bit of a leadfoot) When she got back home she said "WOW, that thing really runs now! And you can blow smoke on the cars following to close. I asked, how did your mother like it? My wife replied, "I don't know, she never spoke a word after we got out of the driveway! ;)

I'm about 30 min down 321 from you in Dallas. I don't let my wife drive mine. I'm afraid of it being filled with gas instead of diesel. She's already done that once in her life back when she owned a diesel many years ago. All she does is complain about being bounced around in the truck.

Count your blessings that your wife enjoys your bombing hobby. Mine doesn't care for my bombing hobby (calls it my mid life thingy) but she does enjoy my photography "bombing". Believe it or not but I can easily spend more on photography equipment then I can on bombing my truck. Yes, digital photography can get very expensive.
