You're going to be needing a clutch real soon with the injectors and a tapped pump wire. Better figure it into the plans so we don't hear about your clutch woes in a month.
Are you looking for big HP? If not, then for the money I'd consider a Smarty from Marco to replace your EZ with.
I was in the same boat, I thought it wasn't worth the upgrade until my regular comp went out. It was out of warranty so I decided what the hell and upgraded to a drag. They say its not any more hp. but it sure feels like it. If I had known it was going to be that better of a box I would have went with a Drag from the get go.
I used to pull 32 lbs of boost now I can hit 34-36. I know boost isn't hp but I know its more fuel due to the fact of more boost.
It smokes more then the old comp and the EGT's are higher.
The best thing about the drag is it will pull hard until 3200 rpm.
Plus I have beat a TST 9 stage and a Blue Box so that right there is worth it.
Drag version doesn't de-fuel whereas the comp defuels at 2700. Trust me, you can tell the difference when you're trying to get a truck to ET or trying get that last foot with the sled behind you.
Yep!I just upgraded my Comp to the Drag and today I tried it for the 1st time in 5x5 and holy**** does it run now boys! Like Solomon said I used to hit 42 in 5x5 and today it was like 47lbs of boost. I think I better adjust the wastegate a little cuz I think that was even with winter blend!I cant afford to pop this thing! :--)
