I need more time I have dail up and for me to upload a pic with a 30 second limit it'd have to be the size of a pea :-laf

If not no big deal I just have to keep shrinking all my photos and make sure Im not useing bandwith anywhere else

Note this only applies to my gallery no time limit on threads :)

I didn't know there was a 30 second limit there but I doubt that is what's causing your problem. There is a file size limit of 122,800 bytes on uploaded images. On a 33. 6k connection a file that size would take 29 seconds to upload. It looks like the error message says it could be the file size or that it took longer than 30 seconds. Surprisingly you are the first person that has ever mentioned the 30 second limit. Check the size of your image and I bet it will be over that.

File upload error:

Check the following:

# Image file size may have exceeded maximum file size of 122800 bytes.

# You have a very slow connection and the upload took more than 30 seconds. If this is the case, you'll need to upload smaller files.

# You didn't specifiy a filename or you specified an invalid filename.

MY FILE IS ONLY

450x337

and if I close out all tdr windows but the gallery itll work ..... it has to be the time limit taking me out... ... DANG THIS DAIL UP

Ive even moved all my files to the desk top to help but no dice.

if I go any smaller than that they'll be really small... .

I guess I cant browse the forems and post pics @ the same time

THANKS

You must have the quality turned way up because a picture that size should upload in no time and be significantly smaller than 121k. Also, the number of windows you have open has no effect on upload speed unless you are trying to browse in those windows while you are doing the upload - that will slow things down significantly. In whatever software you are using to save the picture you want to be saving it as a .jpg file and you want to set the quality to 50% or 5 (depends on the software - some are a scale 0-100 some are 0-10). Setting it at 50% will cause no noticeable degradation of the image and it will be WAY smaller file size wise.

Ill try another day thanks for the tips... ... and why I have your attention will I get an issue of the tdr mag I joined in---- Join Date: 11-05-2004------am I too late to get this issue????

You should be receiving this issue. They just started arriving in mailboxes in the last couple days. It takes 2-3 weeks from when the first ones are received until the last ones are.
