Hey Diesel Heads!

It is time for a spring opener and the place is MIKE'S CUSTOM TRUCKS in Northwood, ND on Saturday May 3rd.

Sorry for the short notice, but this just fell into place.

SMorneau, is getting a 6 speed transmission installed in his 96 4WD 5 speed Dodge. Mike & crew is doing the swap on Friday & Saturday, May 2nd-3rd. I will be there on Saturday as Scott is spending the weekend with me and I have to haul him back there in the wee morning hours. We thought maybe others may want to drop by and check out the happenings and see the new products Mike is offering.

Mike is now a dealer distributor for Blumenthal Products. Blumenthal offers many products other than 6 speed swap kits. They are one of the major suppliers of 5 speed upgrades such fully splined main shafts and 5th gear nuts. Mike is also the only South Bend Clutch (SBC) dealer/distributor in the Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Manitoba region.

SMorneau will be there all day Friday if anyone wants to drop in and check out the activity.

If enough people show interest, I'll be tempted to bring the equipment and cook some burgers and serve my wife's chili again.

As always, pass this on to others that may want to attend.

Let me know if you plan to be there on Saturday.

-John

I'm gonna come up Friday. Probably stay up in Grand Forks. I don't have any good good tools to work with. So if ya can John Bring what we need.

John,I'll be there. I'll be out of town till Thursday, but let me know if there is anything I could do/bring. I'll get the word out to non TDR folks... .

Looking good

Looks like I have things cleared out to head NE.

Might bring a unsatisfied Ford owner.

Look forward to seeing you all.

SMorneau recently installed a Darin's steering stabilizer on his truck. You can take a good look at it while it is up in the air

Looks like we'll be fine tuning governor springs, too.

If anyone is feeling adventurous and wants to ride the rollers I suggest giving Mike a call.

It's On!

Mike called me today and everything has arrived for my transmission swap.

I look forward to meeting some new friends.

Scott

We'll be there bright & EARLY Saturday

The swap over wasn't as easy as anticipated. We left Scott's truck hanging on the lift. The driveshafts are part of Saturday' s completions. The Blumenthal's kit wasn't as complete as advertised.

Tools not on the required list, but definitely used in this job:

torch

plasma cutter

recip saw

See ya tomorrow?

The deed is done.

Scott and the rest of us headed home mid afternoon.

Good to see everyone again.

Once again Mike was a great host.

Scott;

Have you got reverse down? It might come in handy around those urban assault drivers?

You can report the details of the trany swap.
