Hard to be humble

Bye Bye Duramax

gm van

MY VAN I BOUGHT FROM FRITO HAD 3. 9 AND A TURBOHYDRAMATIC400, THESE ARE NOW IN MY OLD DODGE D 150 PICKUP. ALL THE BOX VANS IN THIS AREA I HAVE SEEN HAVE THE GM TH 400:D :D :D

the newer freightliner box trucks with the isb 3. 9 have the allison 1000 behind it [i remember reading that on the freightliner site]

Wasn't there a conversion kit offered somewhere recently that you could mount a 3. 9L or a 5. 9L in a chevy pickup and it had an adaptor to bolt it to the TH 400 transmission? If I remember correctly, this was the only transmission that the kit was intended for. I thought that maybe enterprise had it but I don't remember seeing it on the web last time I was on there.

i guess it is region dependent. many delievery trucks around my area[ups, fedex, puriolator... ] have gasoline engines powering their trucks

Ya, I heard that too and that why They have limited package weight to 5 pounds in your area ;)

Whitmore, your killing me LOL. The newer FED-X trucks around here sound like they have 5. 9s in them so if I order any big packages I will request FED-X.
