Upstate picnic and wrench weekend. Place; my house, just east of Syracuse.

When; pick the weekend, Sept 24+25, Oct 1+2, or Oct 8+9. Plenty of parking

for trucks,campers,tents, etc. I have lots of tools and access to more. All TDRer's welcome! Bring your wives, kids, girlfriends, there is a park across the street for basketball, and kids. I'm planning on the go,thinking burgers and dogs, everybody bring a dish to pass. I know it's getting late and school is starting, but we should have some good weather yet. If anybody wants to show up friday afternoon that's o. k. , my wife is usually home. She's in school and might be doing homework some of the weekend, she apologizes in advance.

Let's make this happen guys, we tried once, let's do it!

The first two choices would work for me, we're closing on a house the 7th so everything else is out. We could probably make it out for a day.

I'm gonna have to check my schedule for this one, but I can guarantee that the 8th/9th won't work, I'll be home celebrating my 21st birthday Oo. (Fri. the 7th). Maybe the weekend before, tho... . we'll have to see.

Hey how far you from Cambridge, Got a buddy up there. I might have to swing up there and have some fun. Not that bad of a drive.

Hey Junior, I had to look at the atlas for that one, thought you meant

Boston. I can drive to Hudson (below albany) in 3 hours, Cambridge looks like 3 1/2 or so. I'm about 8 minutes off the thruway at exit 34A, Rt 481.

Yes, Cambridge is up my way, it's probably 1/2 hour southeast of me, over through the farm pastures. I'm figuring 3-3 1/4 hours from my house to Syracuse, it would be about the same from Syracuse to Cambridge.

How far from the OCC guys? Think you could arange a tour? They need to make a Dodge Ram CTDiesel bike



Would be willing to show if the weekend is free and the Wife says I can, and it's not to cold to sleep in the truck

OCC is about an hour and 20 from southern CT. I'm guessing it would be about 3-1/2 to 4 from Syracuse.



I don't think you'll get a tour of the shop... they do have a store located in the same general area that has some of the bikes on display, as long as they are not at a bike show. Also sell all the t'shirts and other OCC items there.



That first weekend in Oct could work for me...

Testraub, Torque This is right, about 3. 5 to 4 hours to OCC from here. I was on a job about 20 mins. away last summer, found out when I got back to the shop If you need to, you could stay in my camper, it's old but dry. Two bunks, if any body needs 'um.

Looks like the first weekend in Oct. is the hot ticket! :-laf :-laf

What's in the area for Hotels, Motels...

Comfort Inn, about 6 miles, Craftsmen House 4 miles(pricey) Super 8, 6 miles,

The John Milton Inn, 6 miles, Red Roof Inn, 6 m, Wyndam, same, Courtyard by Marriott, Days Inn carrier circle, Econolodge dewitt, Embassy Suites. Most of these are right off the thruway at exit 35, about 6 miles. If you have a preference, I can get a phone #, or an address for internet reservations for you. Looks like there are only going to be 4 or 5 of us, oh well, they're gonna miss out! Anybody have a project to tackle? Two more weeks!
