Yup, things are kinda slow in the swamp!

I was gonna swing by Cannon's today but didn't make it. I don't think there is a lot of parking there. I know the diner has room enough, was in there last summer.

Yeah, I'm still on for the 10th, but help me out a little- what is the actual street address for this place? The link on the other thread didn't spell it out very well. Is it a rest stop on 81? Or on a road off the expressway?

Yeah Pete, closing in on 40 actually, I had a girlfriend that went to Hobart and William Smith a while back. Not sure yet if the wife is coming, I'll have to find out.

DZink, get off RT690 at the Hiawatha exit, turn left, go under the bridge. At the next light, (300 ft) turn left. This is a side street that is also the on ramp for 690 west. The truckstop is on the right, across from the on ramp. If you need more info, let me know.

Thank you for the directions. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the truckstop as I approach Hiawatha, to get in the right lane.

It's the first exit PAST the state fairgrounds. It's about a mile, maybe a little over.

Sorry guys havent had the time to stop and check in this week but i got home this morning and finished delivering my citrus from florida and im all set for tomarrow should be there around 11:30 - 12:00 comeing with hopefully three more guys. Ok i have some good news on a dyno, got a guy in mass with a mobile dyno that is willing to come to syracuse if we have at least 20 trucks running. Its typical dyno trate of 75 per 3 runs. He will need 220 power and a concrete floor to set up on. Just need a location and a sign up list of at least 20 trucks. Will go over the details tomarrow at the meet.

DZ- from rt 390 exit it's just about 1. 5 hrs or a little under to there.



The dyno that I was looking for is gone. The guy who owned it moved it to his house when the shop closed for lack of enough business. Then his GF died in a car wreck last summer. He said the heck with it, sold his house and everything, and moved out of state. Gone.

On the other hand, I found another one in the area! I have to call the guy and get more info. I think I even know the owner! It's a small world after all!
