Lebanon Valley New York

NJ Dyno Day Dec. 30th

I'm pretty sure, I know that they work out of there. I'm not postive where the office is.

This place is also the home of Cannon Tire.

well guys im meeting a couple of guys here in a few mins and we are going to make our way north, iv got a grey ex cab with stacks and its loud so you cant miss me, will be with a couple of guys not members of this fine site with a white first gen, and maybe a dually, not sure though and ill see ya all there.

Everybody make it home OK? When I left, down in the next block , a cop car came out from between the buildings! Lucky for you guys he followed me!

A pretty good 1st meeting I thought. Be nice to do that a little more often when the weather gets better. Maybe move it around some for the long distance guys.

I didn't notice! any body else have a TDR sticker, grill badge, etc?

Trouble makers!

Allright ya forgin basteges, I got in trouble! :-laf

I was the last one to go down the road and back and some of our Italian-American (read Saprano-esc) friends at the waste removal buisness were not happy with us.

They stopped me and said that it was not a dragstrip and we were going attract the police.

I think they were sizing me up for a pair of cement shoes.

Other than that I had a good time, it was cool to put faces to names.

Well pete iv got my sticker just havent put it on yet, and im glad i had my fun before the tools came out and messed with ya, my smokey burnout at the end of the road didnt help any im sure , we will surely have it somewhere else next time and be able to screw off a little more, it was good for the first meeting though and im sure more guys will come if it gets warmer out, it was all good though, hope to see ya all again maybe in the early spring.

Sorry snowy, someone had to take one for the team, just kiddin talk to ya!!!

Let's meet again soon, just sure as heck not there again! The SPD will be hanging out behind a garbage truck waitin for us! Man, I hope my transmission didn't get bruised up! Stupid autos!

In an unrelated note- check out a post I will be putting up very shortly in the 1st gen forum about an '89 LE single cab 2WD acquired by a buddy of mine- FREE OF CHARGE from a tree farmer in Geneseo!!!

Somebody tell JR that video was awesome!

TT's burnout was just as good 2nd hand! :-laf

I'm glad I didn't go up the street too. ;)

Snowman! How much did you say your mileage went up?

Next summer is the hot ticket! :D

Yes, VERY cool video! And ahem, in a related note,, does smarty disable the high idle feature on the autos? I noticed today even after idle for 5 minutes or so in park, she won't bump up to 1000 RPM. D'oh! looks like I gotta go in the yard and find a stick. Checked for codes, there weren't any. Can't wait 'til next time!

Well pete knows the area a little better than me, he might be able to find a better spot, especially if he can set up the dyno session. and a spot where no one will give us crap about playing around. DZ imnot sure about the high idle thing usually guys that try a smartyand dont have the high idle it usually adds it for free, but maybe go to the dealer and have them put it back on if it diappeared on ya. Cant wait for next time!!

I hope not, mine still works. Sorry if it messed yours up.

Ok guys, gonna run this by ya tell me what you guys think... ... Im looking ito purchasing a Dyno, i can get a nice one for about 20grand to handle upto 1000 hp and 1600ftlbs. I think i can do enough with it to pay for itself, what do you think?

That would be great if a local diesel head had his own dyno. You will probably have to cater to the ricer and hot rod communitys for the extra coin. You would be a busy beaver on the weekends.

You could also talk to David Dunbar (DavidTD) I believe he owns a mobile dyno.

I say go for it! I'll pay you to dyno.

1000 HP?!?! Thats it?? With me on smarty, you're gonna need a bigger dyno than that! :-laf

They don't call you Diesel Dummie for nothin! :-laf mrsnow is right, you gonna be a busy bunny makin enough to pay for it. Don't forget, winter is slow, but payments are still there!

I'd pay to play too, after any mods.

I don't think you'll need a bigger one, DZ's trans will puke first! :-laf

By the way, DZ, get your wheels loose?

Im gonna let Doan Dodge in Greece give it a whirl on Tuesday, they wreck'em, they'll be puttin on H2 rims baby!! 24. 99 for a rotation

Yeah, they'll get them off with a blue tip speed wrench, then they'll put them back on and torque them down with an air wrench and next time they won't come off and things will be warped. Good luck :-laf

When you get the truck back make sure you take the wheels back off and cover the surfaces with anti-sieze and torque the lug nuts back on.
