I know about Dodge having no problem meeting emissions for 2010.

Well turns out a new Ford owner says... "Oh ya they will all be using Urea in 2011". Hmmm, is this just another reason for him to think Ford is now on a level playing field with the clean Dodge Cummins.

Has anyone heard what Dodge Cummins will be doing in 2011 with the 6. 7 for emmissions.

I'm almost sure this is just smoke in the wind.

I think I've read that Ram pickups will continue basically as they are now but cab and chassis trucks will use urea beginning with the 2011 models. I didn't pay a lot of attention to what I read because I'm not planning to buy one.

Thanks HBarlow and stroke 07. My question was answered.
I was inquiring on what we can expect to see for the future of the Cummins Dodge truck engine. Urea or not! Not is much better!!

Theres rumblings that the Cummins may use urea injection, or diesel exhaust fluid as its now being referred to as, in a couple years, possibly along with dual sequential turbochargers. Whether either of those materializes remains to be seen. Id love to have the sequentials, or a nice compound setup if theyd go that route, but they can leave the aftertreatment (urea) to the V8 boys:-laf

Why don't they just call it p!ss?

Are new Ford Diesel owners going to be p!ssed in, p!ssed on, or p!ssed off?

Off to start a new business in my bathroom.

Steve,

Shouldn't you have said the 3500/4500/5500 trucks WILL HAVE urea injection when the new model trucks are introduced? I didn't think any current production models were using urea. It is my understanding that they would not use urea injection until the new body style trucks are introduced as late 2010 or 2011 models.

The Dodge rep at 2009 National Final Rodeo said that they're trying to add Urea to all models by 2012.
