Gee, I think that's what my parts guy is getting ready to do with me on my exhaust brake dealio!!!:eek: :eek: The poor sob hears from me just about every day!:-{} Once my brake arrives (IF) then we introduce myself to the service advisor (noisy trans or whatever is going on down there,pulls to the right since day one (anyone else) check gages lite etc. ), so on & so forth!!:{

proudrammer,

In the USA there is a law called "Holder in Due Course". A lot of people have never heard of it. It says "The holder of the lien is liable in due course with the seller to market a good that meets consumer expectation". So, if a purchase is financed, you can get some additional support from the lien holder to help resolve issues. Worst case scenario, you put the payments in escrow, contact your lawyer, and hold the payments till you are satisfied. Worked for me. ;)

How does that show up on your credit report :( This sounds like it can be like winning the battle but losing the war. Just curious if it shows up on the old credit report????

Sorry to hear about your ordeal, I really hope DC does the right thing for you.....

one other thought that I haven't seen expressed here is additional damage to other key components in your truck, i. e. your transmission, TC or anything else that is between your engine and the rear axle... ...

the lock up of that axle could have damaged other internal parts of any of those parts, thus casuing them to fail prematurely down the road... ...

If it were me I would do just what you are doing and ask for an exchange, I wouln't want to chance dealing with future issues that might arise because of this incident,

and if I were the dealer I would not want to deal with future issues either, and I would be helping you talk DC into another truck and into taking this one back for autopsy... . let us know what happens...

Worried too!

I checked the threads proudrammer had posted to and this was the last about 9 Nov. That's over 2 months ago. He also said he had surgery about 24 Oct and would be laid up for 6 weeks.

So I sent an e-mail expressing our concern for him. Hope we hear good news.

Doc. I guess once a combat medic always a combat medic, and still looking out for grunts!
