For the benefit of the rest of us would you please explain to us how paying $140/barrel of crude oil benefits oil execs or oil companies?
Hint: You and I don't pay $140 for crude oil, oil companies do. Oil companies are forced to pay higher prices on the raw materials used to produce gasoline, diesel fuel, and other petroleum derivatives. Oil execs testified under oath a month ago during the hearings before the blow-dried empty suits of the corrupt committee conducting the charade that they are now only making about $0. 04/gallon for gasoline, down from previous earning reports of $0. 09 to $0. 10 per gallon.
Are you aware that presidents and vice presidents normally place their personal financial holdings in blind trusts while holding office? I don't know if that measure is required by federal law or just ethics. What it means is the president and vice president don't know how or where their money is invested. Dick Cheney gave up a very lucrative position as CEO of Halliburton earning a huge annual salary and sold his holdings in Halliburton if I remember correctly to serve as VP because the Republican Party asked him to.
Now if you want to talk about corruption in office let's discuss harry reid who routinely for years has scammed federal and NV taxpayers by using his influence to convert federally owned Nevada lands to private land and then, with his crooked lawyer sons, assists his lawyer buddies (who generously repay him) in obtaining ownership of these federal lands and converts them to land development projects.
Almost all the crooked prominent democraps in Congress are very wealthy and routinely use their government influence for personal gain. Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, etc. You don't know these things because they will never be reported widely in the liberal media.
