Interesting; Good thing that Diesels are fuel efficient :) Because they would cost as much as a gasser to run. Hey, I might be on to something  Moose00 Oo.

Here's my take: Between 2004 and 2005, BIG oil barons got a 50 PERCENT raise! CEO William Greehey of Valero Energy was the industrie's top profiteer in 2005, collecting $92. 2 MILLION! IT would take the average oil industry worker 4,279 YEARS to earn what Greehey banked in just ONE YEAR!

A close second was CEO Ray Irani of Occidental Petrolium, with $84 MILLION!

THIS IS WHY OUR FUEL COSTS ARE SO HIGH! Why should they make this kind of money??

So they can afford to fill up their diesel truck to tow the boat to the marina to go fishing.

I like how the article said gas went down 20cents. Where?????

One thing is for sure, AvGas for me hasn't dropped any. Almost 4 bucks a gallon & I burn ten gallons an hour. OUCH!

Because they can! These guys don't stay up at night worrying about the consumer.

Buy biodiesel and/or use as little petro-fuel as possible. It's all you can do.

my brother-in-law filled up in town yesterday for $2. 59 unleaded. diesel is still 3. 39 to $3. 49. how much more proscessing does it take to remove the sulfur? i can't believe 80 to 90 cents a gallon!!

The extra processing cost are . 05 to . 08 cents a gallon. Forgot were I read that but it doesn't cost that much more.

Not all refineries will gear up to make ULSD however. There's still plenty of demand for LSD D#2 for years to come.

Bio around here is no different in price compared to #2 diesel. I can't really complain tho, our diesel prices here finally dropped under the $3 mark. I actually filled up the other day with bio for $2. 67.
