I want to put a 4bt in a jeep. I just wanting to know how much I should be looking at paying for a good used 4bt engine any thing special I should be looking for? I have several p-pumped 12 valves but they are jut way to big for the old CJ-5

Find a p pumped 4BT in a Freightliner chassis around 1998 chassis. 2500 for just the engine or buy the vehicle 3500-4000 and have everything you would need for the swap. D

Check out Dovebid.com transportation sales. There might be some bread trucks in your area. I drove a 700 mile round trip to get mine. Are you wanting to use a Chevy, Ford, or Dodge Transmission/Transfer combo?

Anyone can bid. I have been watching for about 6 months and they usually bring between $700-$2000. I waited until I found a Ford so I would get the right adapters for my application. It won't matter with yours, any Dodge adapter will work. I wish I had a NV4500 but for the money I stick with the NP435.
