Used Diesel Engine sources??

Curious as to your sources for used Diesel Engines for using in engine swaps. Converting a gasoline powered vehicle to Diesel power. I would like to try building something that gets around 80 to 100 mpg with my shop students. Shop class project. Any resources out there that you might know of, phone numbers, addresses, etc???
