Used truck & questioning the year

Hey guy's, I've just purchased another truck and was wondering when Dodge changes their model year, This truck was manufactured in 03, 4th month, So my question would be is this a late 03 or an early 04?

Vin#3D7MU48C13G818029, Previous owner was unsure

Diesel, 1 ton dually, Quad cab, 4X4, loaded with absolute everything except the power sun roof, Auto, canopy, stainless steel running boards, rear air bags, mint in/out,



My next question what transmission will this have in it 47RE?/48RE? I can't find any info in/on the truck, Yes it has the 305 H. P. engine, Thanks fellas I'd like to know the transmission before I start to do any bombing on this unit

If it's got a 305/555, you definitely have a 48RE

I believe the model year changes June/July...

IIRC the '04 trucks have a different steering wheel than the '03 trucks (may be wrong... )

Your truck is an '03. The 10th digit indicates the year model.
