Good transmission shop in Salt Lake?

I'm in for sure... For kicks I emailed Ind Inj to reserve a sign placard for my personal parking spot.

Fish will wait til Sunday. Oo.

I have had a few people PM me asking if they should bring something... . other than their truck. It sounds like Ind Inj is going to provide some refreshments, I would guess that he wouldn't mind a little help in this department. So, if you feel so inclined, whip something up and bring it. If in doubt bring it anyway.

Looks very good. We are looking forward to having everyone come. I will have food and we are trying to get Brett's truck finished and moved out of the drive in shop. We have been installing a very large CP3 pump on his truck. If we have a final count on how many is comming that would be good. If you want to bring something thats good too. Thanks, Brady 1-800-955-0476

let them know???

Thanks to Gaskicker for getting this started and Industrial Injection for hosting the first and hopefully not our last get together tomorrow. . I kind of went through the responses and counted 15-16 people that have committed. Let's not disappoint our Hosts and not show-up. I just got out of the hospital yesterday for some closed heart surgery, and I still plan on being there. Can't pick-up anything over 10 lbs. for another week, however, my truck keys only weigh about 3 ozs. :-laf Since I don't know what Brad or Brett have planned, I though I would like to take this time to hopefully create a mini forum to questions some of us would like to discuss tomorrow. If we post it ASAP and prior to tomorrow, perhaps Brad or Brett will have time to prepare some meaningful discussions that will benefit all of us and speed things along.

The information I would be most interested in, is the CP-3 injection pumps, how it functions, limitations with today's fueling boxes, and other innovated products on the horizon, including the Fass pump system for performance tunning. I'm selfish because I have an '05.

See you all there tomorrow. Oo.

Steve

I'm a diesel newbie. Besides the mods I have listed in my sig, I'm mostly interested in what I can do next that is fun but continues to keep my truck as an everyday driver, not burn the engine out, (and not tractor puller) but still a bad rig. Such as:

If I want to upgrade my turbo, what else do I need to do?

(Like manifold)

Injector upgrade? Pros & Cons?

Fuel Systems?

New TC? What do I need?

I'm looking forward to this.

I would like to know more about turbocharger theory, head pressure, etc. and maybe some "lite" fueling boxes :D

Is this going to be like a seminar or just a get together? I was thinking of bringing my wife and boys if it's just a get together. They like trucks too!

HeberRam, does DRawson know about this?

KBennett, It is pretty much a First get together as I understand it. I'm not trying to make it a seminar, thought we would throw out some subjects we would be intrested in learning more about since we would be there, taking advantage of Industrial Injections hospitality. I personally think it would be fine to bring along family members " especially the wife", need to sometime get the ok for future bombs. . :D :-laf

I've got a couple of old e-mail address for Dee, I'll try to send out tonite, to let him know. There are a lot of old timers such as myself that don't post much anymore or who have not kept a subscription that still monitor TDR. Hopefully, they have seen and read these posts???

Thanks Steve for sending this to me. I have to work tomorrow I wish I would have known about this earlier :{

Have fun guys I'll be at Impact Guns running the indoor range all day.

It looks like we will have a good turnout. This will probably be more of a meet and greet... next time, with a little more scheduling and advanced time, I dont see any reason why we wouldnt be able to do a seminar of some sort.

Thanks guys for the good time!

Industrial Injection is a nice outfit and really good people. Thanks Brett and Shane for the ride!

Kirk

Thank you, Brady! And Gaskicker!

It was fun, and my head is still swimming from all the VP-44 knowledge that flew around in the shop this afternoon! Brady is a walking encylopedia of things diesel, and with his sons they make one heck of an impressive team.

While the group works on getting an official website together, I am offering a space in the kermatdi forums as a temporary place to chew the virtual fat in the interim. Here is the link:

http://www.kermatdi.com/forums/index.php

The forums are mostly devoted to VW TDI, but hopefully that will change... See the "intermountain dieselheads" forum near the bottom of the page. We can use this as our temporary home while the "official" site is in progress.

You will need to register to post on the forums, keeps the spam to an absolute minimum.

Thanks again, everyone, it was fun!

Thanks to Brady and the boys at II for the good time and food. Thanks to Gaskicker for keeping this thing going. Lets all stay on top of it and turn this into something great.

Great bunch of guys and a few gals too. Thanks for the vote of confidence! We do enjoy talking to people and sharing information and views. We learn things by listening and talking to everyone. I hope we can continue this interest in a group or organization in this area. We will help in any way we can. Mark is a good organizer and we just need to help him and we should be succesful. Thanks, Brady

Industrial Injection !!!!

Had a great day, long and our hosts Brady, Brett, Shane & Cody and the other Tech's were really great... Mark "Gaskicker" helped put this together, thanks :D Spending 5 hrs. , I was getting imput over-load  learning all about the 3rd Gens CP-3 pumps, 2nd. Gens Vp-44 pumps, cool turbo's, injectors, balancing of turbos, pressuring testing of pumps, re-building of pumps etc. , and some insite of other things to come... Sorry I can't say anymore or they will shoot me :-laf :-laf. We are very fortunate to have this company in our area. They answered everyones questions, didn't hide anything, and even me an old man still playing the performance game for over 6 yrs. I learned a lot. .

It was also great to put faces to our "handles" and meeting new wonderful people. Let's keep the momentum going...

Thanks to Kerma for temp use of his web site, you noticed "temp" it might get bigger then TDR :-laf :-laf

Such a great get together, get to know eachother, and info on Pumps and Turbos. !!

I learned alot on the Hybrid Turbo which I have talked myself into... . (not all that hard to do... :-laf ) I just got my tax return but I will still wait a little like a month. to get it.....

I am going to get a HX 35/40 14 cm housing NON waste-gated hybrid turbo.

Hear that Brady? Get Shane to make one for me and set it aside ... I will get it soon.

Brady has a number of testing equipment for all the pumps and injectors and can build any Inj. Pump including a "Hot" Pump for high HP.

Soooooo, another Gadget for me to add to my truck... .

With my heavy trailer I have, I have been needing to watch the temps both exhaust and coolant on hot days when pulling hills... so this new turbo will help both. I can't wait but I need to do some finances first... .

Thanks again,

Paul
