My buddy was looking at my 2002 yesterday and was thinking about buying it to put a utility body on it for his business.

After he looked at it he said Dodge must use a different rear axle on the utility body duallys because he thinks they not as wide as the standard dually truck.

I disagree, I can't see Dodge having an axle just for the utility trucks.

Anybody got any insite on this?

What is a bed worth? No dents, Silver, has 1/2" holes drilled where the 5th wheel hitch rails were.

I've heard of the different axle for some applications. (the 4500??) I'm not sure which ones are used. I've looked at utility bodies, I think they are the same width (if it's the utility body I think it is) (I've had a flat bed since '99 (took off the standard pickup bed))

Cab and chassis use a narrower rear end than the one tons. A friend of mine was going to put the bed off my 2500 on his cab and chassis and to my suprise it almost fit. It was going to require cutting the fenderwells in the bed to allow for the extra tire width and it left a 5" gap between the cab and the edge of the bed( I suggested stacks to fill the gap).
