V10 Cummins generator

Was at Great Plains Cummins last night and there on the shop floor was a brand new Onan generator with a V10 cummins. Was this for real or was I seeing things. DW

We package large gensets for a living. 10 cylinder is small

Why doesn't Cummins market this motor for light or medium duty trucks? What is the displacement and power ratings? Seems it would fit in engine compartment as good or better then the 5. 9. Still love mine, just wondering. DW

Guess we are on two different sheets of paper. The engines I am talking about look more like the green one in the background We do install these in trucks sometimes... ... ... ..... in the trailer to be used as a mobile generator. Still a tight fit!

When I was in Oman after 9-11 they had ten, V10 Cummins generators and they had 8 running at any one time. (and they were hard put to keep up with the demand) They were complaining that they were to small and were getting some with V16's so they wouldn't have to run so many at one time.
