send dodge your support for the dodge 1500 with the v8 cummins. they have a prototype out there. if we show resounding support for this they might gives us a new cummins option v8 cummins 1500 or maybe even a cummins/durango. tell them you will buy one and so will your buddies. this would only be telling the truth. my wife would get that in a durango.

AHHhh - I see "V8 envy" is alive and well...



AS is the "IF Cummins makes it, it's GOTTA be good"... .



Now for ME, if I wanted a V8 diesel, I'd sidestep the early production teeth-cutting, and go with a GM Duramax - it seems to have settled out pretty well...

I don't want anything to do with a v8 diesel. I want a smaller inline, maybe a four cylinder in a 3/4 ton, or a smaller inline 6. A heavy 3/4 ton that gets 30+ mpg would be great! I wouldn't be concerned with power, but I would think a person could get 200+ hp out of a modified inline four, and hopefully still have a simple built motor that is capable of going 300,000+ miles like the 5. 9.
