VA box problem

I ordered and received the VA-DG03 from Jannetty Racing. I am looking for a little help with towing and thought the VA would be a safe route to go. The box installed easily but ran very rough and powerless and I could tell before leaving the driveway there was a problem. Jannetty said to return the box for replacement. The truck runs smooth again without the box----but the engine light is on. From what I read this means a code was set by the faulty VA box. If so, is there a way to erase the code---- I know I can get the light to go out but is it loaded into the memory? My truck is an early 2004. Thanks, Bob

Welcome Bob! You can't really erase the codes but after you start the engine 6 times the eng light will go off (unless the problem still remains).

Had the same thing on a ramifer. I didn't think it would pull away from the curb. Threw a code. Engine was so loud you had to yell at each other. Sent it back and they said the box was bad. I told them to keep it and take it off my card. They said they would, but so far this has not happened

The codes can be taken off by anyone with a code reader. You just have to find the right perosn to do it. Autozone will do it some times, other times they won't. It just depends on who you get

You can also get the codes by cycling the key three times and watching the odometer.

Man that sucks. I was looking forward to the new VA box and thought it had a lot R & D done to it to prevent this kind of stuff. When you get your new box let us know how you like it

Bob, was the VA box the pressure box or the new duration box? I'm(was) close to getting thenew duration box.

I just wanted to report back that I received a replacement box from Jannetty Racing within a week and all is well. I have not towed with it yet but have played with it around town. Pulling grade I have switched between the 3 settings and there is a significant difference. I will report after towing if there is any interest. ---

I'm interested, I currently have the VA duration box stacked with and Edge EZ pressure box. I thought about trading the Edge out to the VA pressure box to keep all the parts the same. Let us know how it tows!
