Will be ordering this week. Before you go there, don't. Not interested in a "big" fuel box or injectors.

Need "bolt on" for ease of installment, my own piece of mind, and theirs (DC).

+ VA for the maximum low end boost.
- VA no boost module.

+ EZ Boost module
- Less bottom end??

+ PP programable, in case i change my mind on injectors. Good price.
- Relatively new, no boost module

Any comments?? I'm leaning, as I have been for a long time, towards the VA CPC. Talk me out of it.

Having ran the VA I never had any codes set. Even had the tech look for codes after running truck WOT for awhile. The VA will not disappoint you at all. Without having used the other products all I can say is that everyone who has them is satisfied... .

Lsmith, my "speculation" is based on me running a VA on MY truck with NO other mods and the dealer informing me that it had an overboost code while it was in the shop for routine maintenance. Make what you will of it... The EZ turns this debate into a mute point since it has a boost module built in. I might point out that if you go for even mild injectors later on, the EZ will save you the cost of the boost module that you will need to realize said injectors full potential.

Sorry if I offended you Arcticat, but I know of at least 65K, miles with VA only and no codes set. Your situation could have been different. The stock wastegate and MAP sensor are not altered in any way by the VA, and it's use should not set any codes.

The Va won't set off the check engine light, but it will set an overboost code. I like the fact that the EZ is an American product as opposed to the UK. Call Edge products and ask for brett, he runs the show and will be happy to talk to you about the product. I doubt that you can call Van Aaken and talk to the owner like that. If you ever have a problem Edge may be able to help you over the phone and if not they will make it right however need be. I don't know if you will find that is true with the VA, since you are not dealing with the manufacturer.

I second those comments, dynoed my truck before and after the EZ. The truck picked up an additional 52 HP & 156 ft/lbs of torque.
In my opinion a very nice upgrade. (for starters)

If you end up choosing the EZ, send me an email. I found a dealership near me that is selling them at a good discount. Might save you some money!

BTW, I love my EZ. Nice SOP improvement. Now if I can just figure out an easy way to disable the wastegate to take full advantage of the higher boost.

The VA by itself will not set an overboost code. This is fact, not speculation. The VA and the EZ are good products, don't know anything about the Diablo so I won't comment.

on over boost can be a sensor problem. boost sensor, ambiant pressure sensor, have seen it. if one of these sensor go bad or have an intermitent problem it can think it is getting to much boost.

I've recently installed my power puck, and I appreciated the additional power. When first test drove the truck, I was quite impressed driving my first diesel, as I'd come to believe that diesels were heavy load carrying vehicles, but not fast off the line. That was a false impression. Then with the additional power of the PP, all I can say is WOW.

But here's the caveat: first diesel, no prior experience, so what do I know? If the day comes that I want to try another chip, the PP is SO easy to unplug and go back to stock. I"ll let you know how this truck does with the new 4" exhaust and injectors. Bomb on... ... ... .....
