The code codes not clearing with batt disconnect is part of the obd11 legal packaging, the feds want to be in control... ... ... .

Anyone find more info on this?? I reset my 0606 code and as soon as I use the 100% setting it is back. . ???

There is another thread going on that has the same info in it. My box will throw the 0606 code anytime I turn it on 100% and do a full throttle run. Other guys are getting the 0606 randomly. Not sure if VA has done anything about it.

I wrote to VA about the problem and they won't answer their email. Their discussion forum is worthless as about 5 people have posted on it in the last year.

I sent an email yesterday asking about the P0606 code. We will see what happens.

I've gotten the code a time or two and it always clears on its own. Still prefer the smoother driveability and simple hook-up along with the in cab control. Just need timing to be real happy!

Wow, I have never had mine clear on it's own. How long (starts, warm up cycles) did it take?? Ilaways cleared mine with a scanner.

Me too.

The unit does provide really nice driveability and power. I never had too much trouble with EGTs, but I drive by my gauge and back off when needed.

I use my truck for work so it hard to say how many times a day I'm in and out of it. It usually clears in less than a week. I'm heading out to the truck to replace it with the PMCR. If it doesn't drive as smoothly the C3. 2 is going right back in...

Talk to Ya' tonight,

EZ for 600

I can't comment on advertising I never saw,... but what I've seen on the EZ; and when I talked with EDGE it was only claimed to have fueling,. . not timing. The Juice and Juice w/attitude is to have timing w/ duration.

Ever get a response from van Aaken, BHaner?

Just wondering if they answered your question.

I did... they had a good answer... however they had a bunch of non-disclosure crap in the email. I sent an email back asking if it was ok to share the info with everyone here... no answer back yet.

I just got the OK to post email... so here is the info!

Byron,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The P0606 code is a "ECM Hardware Error" code and can be caused if you drive the unit on full power with a cold engine.

The best and easiest way to avoid this code is to only use the half power setting until the engine has had a chance to warm up a little when you first start driving. This code will not usually set an engine warning light except on Californian spec vehicles.

Subject: VA C3. 2 for 03 Dodge ram

I have a Van Aaken C3. 2 box for my 03 Dodge ram that I purchased from Piers Diesel Research in Surry, BC. When I set it to the 100% setting I get a P0606 code in the computer. What causes this and is there any way to fix it?

Thank you.

Thanx for the great info! I did some testing today that falls right in line with that e-mail. I drove from my house to the pavement (about 2 miles) then hit the 100% setting and did a run. Went home and had the code. Left the truck running and cleared it before running some errands. After I was certain everything was up to operating temp I again did the 100% setting with several runs. Just parked the truck at an office for a meeting and according to the key check there are no codes. Thanx again!!
