Hey guys,



I finally got the level I switch and I am back in town. I got her set up last night.



Set-up:



Level II box into the motor with the level I into the level II harness. And the stock connector into the level I.



Truck:



3. 73, 6sp, 315/70, AFE PG-7, lost kitty



Conditions:



HW 35 south (flat, 70mph speed limit), 52 degrees outside



Test procedure:



Ran the truck at temp for the first 15 miles from the house, then droped speed to 60mph. The egt was flat at 650. Punched it down until the egt was 1350 then took the speed.



Results:



Level II box only:



0% setting 95mph

50% setting 90mph

100% setting 81mph



Level II box and level I box at 50% (all time):



0% setting 92mph

50% setting 95mph

100% setting 88mph



So, it looks like the second box (level I) did lower the EGTs somewhat.



But the real difference seems to be the driveability. It's smoother. It doesn't seem to hit "hard", the power is just there.



I drove the rest of the way in with the level II on 100% and the level I on 50%. I like the way it feels. As long as I keep an eye on the EGTs, I feel comfortable with it.



For what it's worth... ... Hope it helps ya... .
 
It looks like that did help some, I'm not sure how it work for my application. Do you ever tow, wished you could hook on to about nine tons and drag it around a bit.
 
TOWING

I can't offer up 9 tons, but I will be pulling a 2,400lb trailer with 7,500lbs of shingles and supplies one of the next 2 weekends.



I know it's only 10,000, but it might give some results.
 
Roads

GWoody,



It's about 160 miles up there (cabin). The speed limit is 55 for the first 30 miles, then 65mph for 60 miles, then 55 for the remainder.



The roads are all pretty flat and there are only 4 stop lights and 2 small towns.



I have made the trip 4 times with this truck (filled with tools and supplies, but no trailer).



Good mileage so far. For the round trip:



1st 18. 2mpg

2nd 18. 5mpg

3rd 18. 3mpg

4th 18. 7mpg
