VA Tidewater Area - any interest?

I've made several attempts to contact the person running the Tidewater TDR Chapter. Does anyone know how I might get in touch with him? Sure would be nice to have a get together in this area. Is there any interest in the area?

Nope. I've been trying to remember to try to get up with him, but the only time I have time, I don't have his address. Would you be willing to get anything going? I'd make the drive every month or so. It sound like the guys up in the NW and MI have a good time. If you want to try to start something and need some help, just let me know.

Yes . . I would like to try to get something going in the area! There are several who post that are in the area. We could have some fun if we can get enough interest!

I've sent another e-mail to our guy listed in the TDR ... no response yet. I've been trying for a couple of months.

I'll hunt around for some more folks locally. We'll see what we can do! One of these days I'll contact the TDR folks and see if there is an updated contact point for our guy. If not . . I guess I can step up to the plate. I'll be offline for a week ... heading out tommorrow to the mid-west. Hopefully, there will be more interest here by the time I get back. I sent an email to Steve St. Laurent, probably at his home address, and one to you, probably at your home address. You'll probably both see it tonight. I'm waiting to hear back from him to see if we can briefly cross post this to get attention. I'm working on a list myself. Hopefully next week will be as slow (at work) as this week and when you get back we'll have oodles of Rammers chompin' at the bit to get involved. You never know. I'll keep you posted.

Guys... . I too would be interested in any events in this area. I also have a friend in NE NC that is interested. I tried to contact the guy in the TDR some time ago. At the time I called, I was his second call in almost 2 years, so he had canned the idea... that was probably 8 months ago...

Keith--I would like to contact you regaurding your transmission mods... I am looking for a good shop in Tidewater to put in a new T/C...

David--We should get together some time since we live so close... I am also in Rocky Mount...

I'm back from my trip out to the center of the USA. Good to see there are more looking to get together. I'll give the TDR folks a buzz and see what we need to do on their end to create a chapter! Then we'll try and do something ... even if it's getting some pizza or BBQ - we can go from there!

Matt ... I drove up to see Ted Janetty to get the TC done . . but there probably is a good trans shop in the area ... I'll look for you if need!

As the Bud guys say... ... wazzup? I just answered your e-mail about information and getting a group together. I don't check the TDR daily, so I just had to speak up when I saw your past postings today. I work for a company called Cogentrix and they have a plant in Rocky Mount, NC. Actually, Battlesboro. I'll drop you an e-mail the next time I am down in the area. Maybe we can do lunch. We raced the sprinter a few weeks ago at County Line Raceway just south of Rocky Mount. I also am very interested in the transmission mods. I've done all the bombing Ted advises without going into the transmission. Take care, talk with you later!
