How was everyone's Labor Day weekend? The good weather seemed to take a vacation around here, but besides that, any vacation is a good vacation.

Hey Guys,

I got together with Keith Tuesday night and we talk about where to go from here. According to TDR we need at least 3 officers. We need a president, treasurer and event coordinator. We're not limited to those 3, that's just the minimum. We need to come up with a name, preferably something catchy. Finally, we need to schedule an event. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate. I know we can't schedule something that everyone can come to, but we need to start somewhere. We were thinking about Emporia, VA, but if anyone has a better suggestion, I'm all ears. I don't know what else we can do until we have a meeting and figure out who's going to do what. Keep in mind what you want to put into the club and what you want to get out of it and we'll hash it all out at the meeting and go from there.

David and I got together in Durham last Tuesday evening and burned a couple of steaks ... yakked about the beasts ... and just had a great time! I got a package frrom TDR to get started ... but for the life of me I can't find where I put the forms!!! So . . I'm calling them again today to ask for another ... sorry for the delay. What we need to come together on is::

A name for the chapter ...
List of officers ...

And we're done! I hope we might all be able to meet in Nov ... if this is good for all ... and as David pointed out ... we were looking at Emporia, VA ... there is a steakhouse type buffet there with a big parking lot ... any other suggestions appreciated!!

Why don't you join us, Pete? If you're interested, let me know. We could use your expertise. Wowzy, Emporia is on I95 right on the NC-VA border. When we nail everything down and get the address, you can get the driving instructions from YAHOO. COM. Nice truck, BTW. I saw the picture you posted on another thread. All you guys are making me feel a little inadequate #ad

WOWZY... . you will take hwy 29N from eden to hwy 58 in virginia... east on hwy 58 straight to emporia (58 intersects with I95 @ emporia)
