Vacuum Pump BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!

I called my local Dodge dealer today and asked for a price for a vacuum pump, then I got the BLUES!!!!!! He said, "$900. 00 some odd dollars". Has anyone rebuilt a vacuum pump or know of after-market pumps for sale.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Les, I know that some folks who have looked into mounting a Cummins air compressor in the vacuum pump's location have found that they can get by rather inexpensively with a 12 volt vacuum pump. Like $800 cheaper than what you were quoted.

The Ford medium duty F650 uses an electric
vacuum pump to power the a/c vents. If your Ram has hydro boost this will work well.
I am in the process of collecting the parts to install the Cummins air compressor where the steering/vacuum pump currently reside.

I think when I priced mine at a Federated Auto Parts store it was 315 or 390 dollars. They both sound right #ad
It was rebuilt and it was like 250 for a core but there is already a vacuum pump on there for a core so you won't have to worry about that.

By chance do you have no vac supply and the hose from the block area look more flat(sucked in)than round???
