I had the seal inside my vacuum pump replaced. Now I have to put the pump back in. Do I lubricate the new mounting gasket (between the pump and the gear case) with motor oil or rtv or what? Also, I removed the intake tube and heating element. There is a gasket between the two, should it be replaced also? It doesn't appear to be damaged.

I would not lube the new mounting gasket unless it is a o-ring. If it is just a standard gasket you could apply a little RTV for insurance;) As far as the intake air horn gasket, if it looks good and is not torn put it back on. I have reused mine a couple of different times already, then I ripped it and made a new one from new gasket material I have, no rtv required.
