vacuum pump/power steering

my 2003 3500 2WD just started being very hard to steer after pressing brake pedal. Give it a minute or two and it will steer with one finger. Does this thing have some kind of power steering assist vacuum pump on it or something like that just put new ps pump so do not think this is what it is but you never know. any help greatly appreciated.

power steering and brakes are both boosted by the powersteering pump. . you might have some air in the system stll causing locked steering after the brakes were applied

what can i do about this problem? any help greatly appreciated thanks ronnie cooley

make sure the system is filled properly with atf+4 and cycle the steering lock to lock several times and cycle the brake pedal too. . just need to get the fluid moving around to get the air out if there is some there. . hopefully that is the only problem. .

do not know what the problem is but it is driving my driver crazy. could it be a hose with a pinhole in it somewhere letting it suck air?
