Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) vacuum pump/pwr. steering pump combo

changing out the seal in the vac. pump. finished up the job, reading the service manual, it says,"Don't forget the spacers when bolting up the vacuum pump to the pwr steering pump". what spacers? looking at the book, it illustrates some spacers that fit between the vac. pump "feet" and the face of the power steering pump. when I took the assembly apart, I put all the fasteners in a magnetic tray. but I had no spacers. the assembly seems to bolt up fine and everything fits flush. anybody else without spacers?

I just did the seal on my vac. pump a few weeks ago - there were NO spacers between the vac. pump and the power steering pump on min either.



But, I did it without a manual so I didn't know that there were supposed to be any spacers.



Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
