Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Vacuum Pump Reseal/Fiber Vane Replacement

I'm getting ready to replace the seals in my vacuum pump on my 96 and noticed genos garage had a replacement vacuum pump fiber vane set. Has anyone replaced the fiber vanes and if so how hard of a task was it?

Once you get the pump apart to replace the seals the vanes are real easy to get to. When I replaced my seals at 60k I did not replace my vanes and I have over 200k on my truck now.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll order a set just in case. I have almost 350K on my truck.

Not to take business away from Genos, but I have the original vaccum pump on my truck. I have replaced the seal several times, but never the vanes. It still works as advertised.
