Hi Folks, First of all I'm a 24 valver,so I'm not that up on the 12 valves.

A friend of mine has a 94 that won't go into 4-wheel drive,so I checked down below and no vacuum, checked up top on the pump, and no vacuum. So I assume he needs pump attention. Can this pump be rebuilt? or is there something more simple to look into?

If not where would be a good place to look for one?

Thank's in advance, Bill.

Is the pump leaking oil there is a o-ring kit for about $8. 00 you can get one at Cummins. Or maybe a vacuum line has a leak in it I'd get a vacuum gauge and pull the lines off and see if they hold vacuum.

hi Turbo torque,

the main line off the Vacuum pump should make 20-25 in of vacuum. if not the pump is probably defective. if you have vacuum at the pump then the problem is in the lines to the front axle actuator or the switch on top of the transfer case. if you find that you need a pump, talk to Pete at Gould Gear and electric, here is the website http://fixinrams.com/ Nice Guy and the best price going on a Vac pump.
