Can someone tell me how to check if my Vacuum pump is working like it should? The Cruse Control works fine, but my Pac Brake acts like it is not always getting enough vacuum it disengage sometimes. H Westfall
Tee in the main vacuum line close to your pump and install a vac. gauge and read the amount of vac it is drawing. My vac pump draw about 23 inches of vac at a mile high altitude here. Then put your vac gauge at your pac brake and see what your vac. is there. There should not be much of a loss. If there is start looking for a leak.
Thanks for the suggestions & Ideas I will try the gauge , I have cleaned out the solenoid & taken it to a Pac Brake dealer but it still sicks but not as bad,it acts more like low vaccum, but the cruse works great. H Westfall
